The Chattooga Challenge

Length: Overnight Backpacking Trip

Get ready for an adventure that will stretch you, challenge you, and bring you closer to God and one another! The Chattooga Challenge is an overnight backpacking trip designed for 9th and 10th graders who are ready to step out of their comfort zones and into the beauty of God’s creation.

We’ll be hiking into the Chattooga River area, carrying everything we need on our backs, setting up camp, cooking together, and spending intentional time in community. This trip is about more than just hiking—it’s about perseverance, teamwork, and discovering what God can teach us when we slow down and unplug.

No prior backpacking experience is required, but students will need access to basic backpacking gear. If you don’t own gear, don’t worry—gear can be borrowed from friends, family, or church connections. Leaders will help students prepare ahead of time.
